Product Details

Oleamide is a widely used industrial additive, typically appearing as white to pale yellow flakes or powder. Its primary function is to enhance the slip and processing characteristics of materials like plastics and rubber. For example:

Adding a small quantity during plastic bag production prevents the bags from sticking together, making them easy to separate; When used in plastic product manufacturing, it delivers a smoother surface finish.  This material is safe, environmentally friendly, and suitable for industrial applications—including food packaging—where it meets stringent safety standards.

Key Features & Benefits

1.  Superior Slip & Anti-Blocking: Significantly reduces the coefficient of friction, imparting excellent slip properties to surfaces. Effectively prevents film, sheets, and bags from sticking together during stacking or winding ("blocking").

2.  Excellent Release & Anti-Stick: Acts as an internal lubricant and release agent in plastic processing (e.g., injection molding, blown film, casting) and rubber molding. Reduces adhesion to molds and equipment, boosting productivity and reducing defects.

3.  Enhanced Dispersion & Pigment Wetting: Functions as an effective dispersant and wetting agent for pigments and fillers in masterbatches, inks, and coatings. Ensures uniform distribution, improving color strength, gloss, and stability.

4.  Anti-Static Properties: Helps dissipate static charge buildup on plastic surfaces, minimizing dust attraction and improving product appearance.

5.  Broad Compatibility: Exhibits excellent compatibility with various polymer matrices including polyolefins (PP, PE), PVC, and rubber, ensuring easy incorporation and dispersion.

6.  Plant-Derived & Sustainable: Sourced primarily from renewable vegetable oils (e.g., canola oil), supporting sustainability goals (Bio-based grades/certifications available upon request).

7.  High Efficiency, Low Dosage: Delivers significant performance improvements at very low addition rates (typically 0.05% - 0.5%), offering outstanding cost-effectiveness.

Primary Applications

Plastics: Polyolefin films (PE, PP packaging films, bags), BOPP film, injection molded parts, pipes, sheets, masterbatches, engineering plastics.

Rubber: Tires, seals, hoses, footwear (as internal lubricant and release agent).

Inks & Coatings: Improves flow, printability, slip, and scratch resistance.

Textiles: Lubricant and anti-static agent for synthetic fiber spinning.

Paper Industry: Coating additive for improved surface properties.

Other: Metalworking fluid additive, powder metallurgy release agent.
